John Storozuk has been actively involved in golf since first being introduced by his Father In Law in 1994, getting bit by the bug, stung by the bee or stuck by the tee he quickly progressed to a single digit handicap and has maintained that for many years. Entering numerous amateur and corporate tournaments with a handful of wins and top 5 finishes to his credit John decided to take his love of the game to the next level and share his knowledge with the world.
Completing his CGTF certification and taking medalist honors in the Playing Ability Test with rounds of 73-71 at Hidden Lake Golf Club in Burlington further confirmed John's abilities and commitment to the game. John brings a fresh approach to classic instruction, when you join a lesson with John his expectation is that you will primarily enjoy the experience and of course learn something to improve your game. The drills will be broken down into easy steps that you can practice on your own with follow up and easy email access at any time.
John's goal is to bring new people to the game by providing them a solid foundation for growth and enjoyment in this amazing sport. Mid to low handicappers are welcome as even the best players always need a second pair of eyes to identify and correct even the slightest of glitches in their swings. Playing lessons are welcomed and encouraged with all of John's students.
Most problems with the golf swing start with your initial setup, are you lined too far right, too far left, shoulders open or closed, ball too far forward or back in your stance. This can be a lot to think of when you are on the golf course and something you shouldn't have to think about there. On the practice range set up two golf clubs or wooden dowels like railway tracks parallel to each other, place a 3rd club perpendicular to the track closest to you. Use these as alignment aids to help you with everything from body position to ball position.
